Color from Nature: A Bundle Dye Workshop

Do you want to learn how to create naturally dyed textiles using plants and flowers?  Use flowers + foliage to create textiles with color from nature with hands on learning.

Learn about the selected plants and flowers of the season, including their special and unique dye properties. The impacts of the seasons and the environment on color and chemical composition of plants.

See demonstration of techniques for creating various effects with bundle dyeing and examples to observe.

Create their own natural dyed organic bandana and silk scarf using seasonal organic plant material including local + native flowers + leaves.

.Communal Student share and observation to complete the workshop.

You will learn about the natural dyeing properties of seasonal flowers, leaves and plants to create your own personal piece of textile art to wear or display to take home. No experience is necessary. 

All workshop materials will be provided, with an option to purchase additional bandanas or textiles for further creating.

This EXPERIENCE workshop will be guided on location at a Glashaus Flower shop.
